The worst thing he told me?
The worst thing he told me was that I wasn’t the hero. I am not some main character, and this isn’t some epic tale.
There are no battles to win, no dragons to slay. There is not point to it all, at the end of the day.
And worse? He made me believe him.
What's this??? Sounds like some character background for an unwritten-as-yet tale.
ReplyDeleteIt would work great as character background! I've been thinking about a character quite a lot lately, this may work for her.
ReplyDeletePeople who offer that kind of world view are unpleasant, and if it's a man talking to a woman he's with, it's probably emotional abuse and manipulation. Does the speaker here work as the faithless girl in 'Dry Grass,' the 'he' as her summer bf?
